Apres Allstars®
Modular shot ski and party gadgets. Own shop in five languages, retail, Amazon. 100,000 glasses a year, design patents, Kickstarter funded in under three hours.
apres-allstars.com ↗Tobi Deckert, industrial engineer (M.Sc., MCI Innsbruck) and entrepreneur. Two product companies of my own, fifteen years of hardware development, and the tools that keep my own business running – built by myself.
I live with my family between the Chiemgau and Salzburg. When I am not standing in a factory hall, I am in the mountains – skiing, kiting, paragliding – or at the sewing machine.

Flight hardware integration and CAD design for an ISS experiment. One year – and the insight that a part is only finished when someone else can build it.
Five years of inflatables: inflatable event tents and kites. Development, patents, manufacturing instructions, series production on site in Asia, dealer training. Learned to sew, learned to weld, learned to read suppliers.
The first product of my own: the inflatable roof rack ShredRack. EU patent, TÜV, awards, television. And the experience of what a production start costs when you underestimate it.
With Michi Gasteiger: a brand that sells 100,000 glasses a year. Own shop in five languages, injection moulding, production with the sheltered workshops of Caritas Wendelstein and Lebenshilfe Piding.
Inflatable training and meditation cushion with a patented pump mechanism. Crowdfunding, Green Product Award, the TV show “2 Minuten 2 Millionen” – and the lesson of what a contract with a discount retailer means.
Inflatable de-icing system for trucks. Design patent, around 26 million views on social media, pre-series built in house.
Because no off-the-shelf system fitted: my own ERP, receipt bot, newsletter bot, chatbot, a content system with more than 300 articles. First for us. Now for businesses like yours.

I underestimated the production start of the ShredRack – tooling costs, lead times, tied-up capital. I talked about it at FuckUp Night Salzburg, because I think these stories have to be told.
I built an online course before I knew whether anyone needed it. It did not work. Since then I only build what someone pays for first.
And I have seen a business choke on spreadsheets between three people – my own. That is why my ERP exists.
